Security patrols are being increased at mosques and other houses of worship after a deadly attack in San Diego.

Investigators say two teenagers killed themselves after they murdered three adults at the Islamic Center of San Diego on Monday. Police believe the attack on the city’s largest mosque was motivated by hatred.

San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria says the city is doing everything it can to help the Muslim community feel safe at this difficult time.
