Texas hospitals are getting high marks in a new national ranking. The Lown Institute released its 2026 hospital honor roll this week, putting University Health in San Antonio at number three among acute care hospitals in the country.
The independent health care thinktank also shows Texas with eleven hospitals on its honor rolls, the second-highest total of any state. The index ranked over 27-hundred acute care hospitals across the country on equity, value, and patient outcomes.
