Five suspected members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua are under federal indictment for a kidnapping and murder near Dallas.
The suspects reportedly abducted a father, his 13-year-old daughter, and his 12-year-old nephew in 2024. When they realized the man couldn’t pay the amount they were trying to extort from him, they reportedly shot and killed him in front of the children.
Farmers Branch police later found the man dead at the roadside. The suspects abandoned the kids, who survived.
