By The City of McAllen is planning a new park on the north side. The city has purchased 26 acres of land for a proposed park near Lark Community Center.
The city is still working on the final design, which could include an Olympic-sized covered swimming pool, a dog park and a recreation center. They hope to have the park open within two years.
