A McAllen judge is ready to proceed with the trial of a man accused of shooting and killing a man in 2023. Jury selection for the trial of Julio Diaz was completed yesterday.
Diaz was arrested after Robert Wise was shot outside the McAllen Masonic Lodge three years ago. Diaz is also charged with arson for two fires that happened before the deadly shooting. Opening statements are set for later today.
