South Texas Health System is honoring three Edinburg police officers for their efforts to save a child’s life. The health system honored the three officers with the Hometown Heroes Award on Friday.
The officers responded to a March call about a child who was unconscious after being pulled from a swimming pool. The officers took the two-year-old to STHS Children’s Hospital while giving the child CPR. The child was successfully revived and left the hospital after two weeks in intensive care.
