UTRGV Football To Open Season Against UT-Permian Basin

The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley football team will open its second season tomorrow evening in Edinburg.

The Vaqueros will take on UT-Permian Basin at 7 p.m. at Vackar Stadium. UTRGV went 9-and-3 last season, including a 5-and-3 record against Southland Conference opponents.

The Falcons were 11-and-3 overall, making it to the NCAA Division Two playoff quarterfinals before their season ended.
