The Elsa Fire Department is warning local residents about a possible scam. The fire department says people have been calling residents, saying they are department employees and asking to schedule a fire inspection.
The department warns that it does not call businesses or homeowners to schedule inspections. Anyone who gets one of the scam calls is advised to hang up and report it immediately.
