A former Georgia National Guard member who was sentenced to prison after a deadly South Texas crash is being released. Twenty-nine-year-old Bianca Farmer was convicted of intoxication assault and intoxication manslaughter on March 16th and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Investigators said she was driving in McAllen on September 5th, 2021, when a crash killed one passenger and led to serious injuries for another. A Hidalgo County judge decided Tuesday that Farmer qualified for shock probation, a term used when a first-time offender is released after a short period behind bars. The judge warned that any violation of her probation would send her back to prison.
