Today is the day the Artemis 2 crew will fly by the lunar surface. While in their Orion spacecraft, the four astronauts will be taking pictures and making scientific observations as they come within four-thousand miles of the surface of the Moon at their closest approach. They’ll lose communications with ground control for about 40 minutes as they pass behind the Moon on its dark side.
