A proposed property tax rate increase has the tentative approval of Harris County commissioners as part of the county’s budgeting process. Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo voted in favor of the proposed tax hike of nearly ten percent.
Commissioners are scheduled to take another vote during a public hearing on September 17th before the county can officially adopt the new tax rate.
