The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley is working with a nonprofit foundation to stretch donations made this summer.

The Carl C. Anderson, Senior and Marie Jo Anderson Charitable Foundation will match every donation made to the food bank, up to 20 thousand dollars. Officials say the match program will allow the food bank to provide ten meals for each dollar donated.

The food bank is also trying to provide meals to children on summer break through its “Full Plates Equal Bright Summers” campaign. Donation information is available on the Food Bank RGV website.
