Fort Bend ISD Votes To Close Seven Elementary Schools

Fort Bend ISD plans to close seven elementary schools as a means of dealing with declining enrollment and a budget deficit.

The district’s Board of Trustees voted on each school individually during a meeting on Monday. They agreed to close each of the seven schools by a 4-3 vote. The school closures will affect about three thousand students.
