Parts of the Rio Grande Valley are cleaning up after some heavy rain yesterday. The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for Cameron and Willacy counties as thunderstorms rolled through the area yesterday afternoon.
The City of Edinburg reported the closure of several intersections due to flooding, while the San Benito City Commission postponed its scheduled meeting due to the advisory. Between one and four inches of rain fell in the region over a 12-hour period.
