A federal judge has reportedly granted a restraining order to stop border wall construction in the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge.

The order is part of a lawsuit filed by Hidalgo County Irrigation District Number Two last month. The lawsuit claims two contractors trespassed on land owned by the district, causing damage to a canal in Alamo.

The restraining order will remain in place through August 27th. A hearing on the lawsuit is set for Monday.
