Toyota Motor North America is bringing a planned expansion of operations to its San Antonio plant. The automaker announced Monday that it will invest three-point-six billion dollars to create a second vehicle assembly line at its South Side plant to produce Toyota Tacoma trucks.
The plant already manufactures the Tundra and Sequoia models. Tacoma production will gradually move from Mexico to San Antonio over the next four years, creating two thousand local jobs by the start of 2030.
