A woman has died after a weekend crash in Cameron County. The Texas Department of Public Safety says the crash happened just after 5 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 77 South near Orphanage Road.
Investigators say a Chevy Camaro was traveling the wrong way when it hit a Honda Accord head-on. Fifty-three-year-old Adelaida Gomez of Conroe died at the scene.
Twenty-two-year-old Joey Estrada of Austin was arrested on charges of criminally negligent homicide and possession of a controlled substance.
