A San Antonio appeals court is ordering Uvalde County and the Uvalde ISD to release records concerning the 2022 school shooting. A group of news outlets had sued the county and the district for denying Public Information Act requests for the records.
Hundreds of police officers surrounded the campus of Robb Elementary School the day of the shooting, but didn’t take action against the teenage gunman for more than an hour. A judge ruled on Wednesday that the county and the district failed to justify their refusal to disclose public information.
