San Benito leaders are struggling to appoint a new city manager. Commissioners met for more than five hours on Tuesday to consider two candidates for the position.

Mayor Pete Galvan reportedly walked out of the meeting, declaring the commission a “rogue board.” More discussions are expected at next week’s commission meeting.
