Phoenix, Arizona broke another heat record on Tuesday. The National Weather Service says it hit 100 degrees at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, shattering the previous record for March 24th. It was also the seventh consecutive record high temperature for Phoenix, which is in the grip of a historic heatwave. It’s usually about 80 degrees in Phoenix this time of year.
The Weather Service warns that a high-pressure system could keep record heat lingering over Phoenix through the end of the month.
