Democratic US Senate nominee James Talarico’s record campaign fundraising haul is up against a GOP advantage in political action committees.
Last week’s campaign reports filed with the Federal Election Commission showed Talarico raised 27 million dollars in the first three months of the year.
Incumbent Senator John Cornyn pulled in about nine million, and his primary challenger Ken Paxton collected just over two million. But the Republicans’ Senate Leadership Fund took in 72 million dollars and has 166 million on hand. The super PAC can support GOP candidates in campaigns across the nation.
