Cameron County investigators have ruled that an accident killed a worker at SpaceX last month. Twenty-five-year-old Jose Bautista died on May 15th when a 77-hundred-pound column beam collapsed, pulling him down.
The beam hit Bautista as he fell to the concrete floor below. A foreman reportedly told investigators that Bautista may have assumed the beam was secured because anchor bolts had been installed. OSHA is still investigating Bautista’s death.
