The Texas Department of Transportation is announcing the death of J. Bruce Bugg Jr., chairman of the Texas Transportation Commission.
TxDOT says Bugg passed away suddenly on Wednesday. Governor Greg Abbott appointed Bugg to the chairmanship of the Texas Transportation Commission in 2017.
Bugg was also the founding chairman and co-founder of the Bexar County Performing Arts Center Foundation and the chairman and trustee of the Tobin Endowment. He was 70.
