City officials are announcing an agreement with Southwest Airlines regarding gate assignments at San Antonio International Airport.

A Thursday news release stated that the Dallas-based carrier will have at least six gates at the airport. Three of them will be in Terminal B, which is standing by for renovations, and the other three will be at the new Terminal C.

The new billion-dollar terminal broke ground in late 2024 and is expected to be finished by 2028. Southwest said it will drop its pending federal lawsuit against the airport.
