Governor Greg Abbott is ordering Texas universities to keep their tuition rates flat for the upcoming school year.

Abbott told college and university presidents on Wednesday to maintain a tuition freeze he put into effect in 2023.

The governor stated that the directive applies to all public universities and colleges in Texas, including community colleges and health institutions.
