Alligator sightings are increasing around the Rio Grande Valley. An eight-to-ten-foot alligator was reportedly sighted recently near the South Airboat Ramp in Port Mansfield.
People have been warned to avoid the area, especially those who usually wade into the water to fish. Alligators have also been spotted recently in Mission and La Joya.
