(Midland, TX) — The man behind a deadly mass shooting in the West Texas town of Midland has been identified as Victor Villarreal. He was wanted for shooting at police during a traffic stop earlier this week.
When the 45-year old was confronted today, he shot at police and the public, killing one and injuring ten.
Villarreal barricaded himself inside an abandoned veterinary clinic where he was eventually found dead. The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation.
