Veronica O’Cana could face up to 20 years in prison after being found guilty of bribery, money laundering and witness tampering.

O’Cana was found guilty yesterday in federal court in McAllen. Federal prosecutors accused O’Cana of being a conduit for money paid to a Mission school board member in exchange for steering a contract to an Indiana-based company. She’ll be sentenced in October.
