A man is facing charges after a ropa usada warehouse raid in Pharr. Federal investigators began looking into the operation last month after a state trooper stopped a man who was allegedly transporting unauthorized workers from the Hidalgo Port of Entry to a warehouse in Pharr.

The warehouse was raided on Friday, and owner Fernando Mirales was charged with smuggling, money laundering and hiring unauthorized workers. Two workers were also detained as material witnesses.
