By The Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority is holding a meeting to discuss a route that would connect to a planned second causeway to South Padre Island. The route would connect Interstate 69E and U.S. Highway 77 to General Brant Road in Rio Hondo.
The route, called The Outer Parkway, would eventually provide a more direct connection between Edinburg and South Padre Island. The meeting will be held Thursday evening at Rio Hondo Civic Center.
