San Antonio Fire Chief Valerie Frausto is facing censure from the union representing San Antonio’s firefighters and paramedics.
International Association of Firefighters Local 624, also known as the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association, put forth the censure resolution during the union’s convention in Arlington earlier this month.
The unanimous vote to censure Chief Frausto reflects a “substantial loss of confidence” in her because of a series of disciplinary, policy, and pay issues.
