Water levels at a primary Rio Grande Valley water source have fallen quickly over the last month. The Falcon International Reservoir has fallen from 27 percent full a month ago to just over 23 percent full on Friday.

Officials say the water level has dropped by 14 percent due to municipal water usage and a high level of late summer evaporation. Water levels at Amistad Reservoir have barely changed in the last 30 days, remaining over 38 percent full.
