The state of Texas is awarding a grant to help pay for street improvements in Mission. Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham announced the two-million-dollar grant on Tuesday.

Funds from the Disaster Recovery Reallocation Program will be used for improvements along Holland Avenue from Business 83 to the expressway. Officials say the money will reduce the burden on local taxpayers while improving infrastructure in the city.
