A patient who was brought to a Georgia hospital after a hantavirus outbreak has tested negative.

Two people were flown in Monday to be treated in the communicable diseases unit at Emory University Hospital. Both were aboard the cruise ship at the Canary Islands that was infected last month with the hantavirus.

The patient had shown mild symptoms before Tuesday’s negative testing, while the second person has not yet shown symptoms.
