Family members are confirming the discovery of the body of a Houston woman who was the last missing counselor from Camp Mystic.
Searchers found the remains of 19-year-old Katherine Ferruzzo on Friday. Ferruzzo was a recent graduate of Memorial High School who planned to start her freshman year at U-T Austin this fall.
Her family says they’re establishing the Katherine Ferruzzo Legacy Foundation to benefit people with special needs and learning differences, since she planned to become a special education teacher. She was one of 28 Camp Mystic campers and counselors who died in the flood on July 4th.
