Talarico Walks Back Previous Support For Biological Men In Women’s Sports

Democratic U.S. Senate nominee James Talarico is changing his tune about whether biological men should compete in women’s sports.

In a TV interview in Dallas on Wednesday, Talarico said he opposed allowing transgender athletes to participate in girls’ sports. He had voted in 2021 against a bill in the Texas Legislature that would ban such participation.

Talarico claims he opposes transgender athletes in girls’ sports “if it endangers safety or fairness.”
