USS Abraham Lincoln Relieved In The Middle East

The USS Abraham Lincoln is leaving the Middle East after a nine-month deployment. The USS George Washington will replace the aircraft carrier, allowing the crew of the Lincoln to return home to San Diego.

There have been mental health concerns about the five-thousand crew members who have been deployed since November, setting a modern carrier record for time at sea.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says Trump’s plan to crush Iran’s economy will likely stop the need for major U.S. military operations against the Islamic Republic. Trump said on social media this week that the U.S. plans to “cripple” Iran’s economy.
