Chinese President Xi Jinping [[ she jeen-peeng ]] has reportedly agreed with President Trump that the Strait of Hormuz should stay open.

The White House has released a summary of today’s meeting between the two leaders, and claims both Xi and Trump agree the Strait of Hormuz must remain open for the free flow of energy.

The summary made no mention of Taiwan. Chinese state media claims Xi warned Trump during the meeting that Taiwan must be “handled properly” by the U.S.
