Two San Antonio police officers are recovering after they were shot by a suspect who died in return fire.
Police were called to Highway 90 near Military Drive Wednesday and were soon being taunted by a suspect from the other side of a fence at a motel parking lot. The man yelled “I’m not going back to prison” and took off running. When an officer and a cadet gave chase, the suspect pulled out a gun and exchanged gunfire with law enforcement.
Two officers were shot but are expected to be OK. The suspect was fatally shot by the police.
