Two North Side residents are suing CPS Energy after they were injured in a home explosion last week. Jose Ochoa and Mayte Terrie Reeves are two of the five people who were sent to the hospital after two homes blew up on Preston Hollow Drive. Ochoa and Reeves filed suit on Monday in Bexar County.

The lawsuit says they had evacuated after the first blast, but had returned home after they were told it was safe. That’s when their home blew up, which the San Antonio Fire Department says probably resulted from a natural gas buildup. The plaintiffs seek a jury trial and a million dollars in damages each.
