A new poll of Texas’ U.S. Senate race has Democratic state Representative James Talarico leading both of his prospective GOP opponents.
The poll found Talarico leading Senator John Cornyn by three percentage points, and ahead of Attorney General Ken Paxton by five percentage points. Both results are within the margin of error.
The poll was conducted by a group headed by a Democratic strategist. Cornyn and Paxton face each other in a GOP primary runoff on May 26th. The winner takes on Talarico in November.
