By The City of Edinburg has issued a boil water notice after a contractor struck a water main Thursday evening.
City crews shut off the water in the area between El Cibolo Road and a half-mile north of El Rucio Road to repair the break.
Anyone using tap water in that area should boil it for at least two minutes for drinking or cooking with it. The notice will remain in effect until further notice.
