A man is facing charges after nearly 100 pounds of cocaine was found during a traffic stop in Edinburg. State troopers stopped 52-year-old Julio Cesar Gonzalez Flores of San Juan on Monday.

The troopers found 39 packages containing suspected cocaine weighing about 98 pounds in the vehicle. Flores allegedly tried to run away during the search, but was quickly caught and detained. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute and is being held without bond.
