Mission is honoring the Sharyland High School baseball team for its recent appearance in the state 5A Division Two title game. The Rattlers lost to Lovejoy last weekend in Round Rock.
The Mission City Council recognized the team at Tuesday’s city council meeting, calling its run to the title game an unforgettable season. The Rattlers are just the fifth team in Rio Grande Valley history to reach the title game.
