Brownsville is adding restrictions on vapes and e-cigarettes to its smoking ordinance. The Brownsville City Commission approved changes to the ordinance on Tuesday.

The new rules ban the use of vapes and e-cigarettes indoors, though some smoking will be allowed in outdoor seating at bars, restaurants and clubs. City officials say the new rules will protect public health and safety.
