A South Texas auto group is partnering with the McAllen school district to give a car to a student with perfect attendance. District officials joined with representatives of Sames Auto Group to kick off the annual Drive Sames for Education program Tuesday.
Students who do not miss a class for the first nine weeks will get a voucher to enter the car giveaway. One student will receive a 2027 Ford Mustang at the end of the 2026-27 school year.
