The FBI has agreed to help track down a group of Texas Democrats who fled the state in protest of redistricting.
The request was made by Senator John Cornyn. He says the lawmakers who left need to be held accountable. FBI agents will be assisting State Troopers, who were ordered by the Governor to arrest those involved in the quorum break.
Civil warrants have been issued, but local law enforcement can’t make arrests outside the state.
