Investigators are releasing the identity of a man found dead in a cornfield in La Villa last week.
The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as 52-year-old Jesus Garcia Tuesday. His body was found in a field near Highway 107 on Friday night.
The sheriff’s office said the body was decomposed at the time it was discovered, and that the circumstances surrounding Garcia’s death are still under investigation.
