The Los Fresnos school district has appointed an interim replacement for Superintendent Gonzalo Salazar. Salazar announced in April that he would be retiring this summer.

The district’s Board of Trustees announced yesterday that Jimmy McDonough will serve as interim superintendent until a search for Salazar’s replacement is finished.
