An Edinburg man is facing a long prison term after pleading guilty to murder charges Tuesday.

Investigators arrested Daniel Guzman Flores and three other men following a 2021 drive-by shooting that killed six-year-old Yvon Adele Medeles.

Medeles was reportedly watching TV in a bedroom of her Hidalgo County home when the four men drove up and opened fire, killing her instantly.

The guilty plea carries an enhancement that could result in a prison sentence of up to 99 years. Flores will be sentenced on August 6th.
